On Friday, May 29, during a special yearbook dedication ceremony, the Salmagundi advisors revealed one of the most anticipated surprises of the school year: the 2026 edition of the MBS yearbook is dedicated to Paul Fisher P’12, ’16, a beloved faculty member whose impact on Morristown Beard School spans more than 30 years.

The announcement was met with cheers and heartfelt applause as students, faculty, and colleagues celebrated a teacher whose dedication to the MBS community has left an indelible mark. Known for his deep knowledge, steady leadership, and genuine care for every student he encounters, Mr. Fisher has become a pillar of innovation and academic excellence at MBS.

For more than three decades, Mr. Fisher has played a significant role in shaping the School’s culture of interdisciplinary learning, creativity, and forward-thinking education. As Chair of the Computational and Information Sciences Department and former Director of Academic Technology, he has helped MBS evolve into a school recognized for embracing systems thinking, emerging technologies, and collaborative problem-solving across disciplines.

Known for blending science, technology, engineering, and real-world application, Mr. Fisher has inspired generations of students through courses ranging from computer science and animation to environmental modeling and space flight engineering. His classes encourage students to think critically, explore complex systems, and approach learning with curiosity, independence, and creativity.

Mr. Fisher has also been instrumental in advancing experiential and project-based learning at MBS. His leadership and collaboration helped support initiatives connected to the School’s Center for Innovation & Design, a space that encourages multidisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and design thinking among students and faculty alike.

Beyond the classroom, his impact can be seen in the School’s broader embrace of innovative, technology-rich learning environments and future-focused academic programming. Drawing on his background in planetary science and NASA-related research, he has consistently brought authentic scientific inquiry into the student experience, helping students connect classroom learning to real-world challenges and opportunities.

This dedication celebrates a legacy of innovation, mentorship, and meaningful connection within the MBS community.

Congratulations to Paul Fisher, the 2026 Salmagundi Yearbook Dedicatee, and thank you for the extraordinary impact you continue to have on Morristown Beard School!
