The best-kept secret on the Morristown-Beard School campus is a secret no more. At an emotional yearbook dedication ceremony on Thursday, May 9th, the editors announced that the 2019 edition of Salmagundi was dedicated to Wellness teacher, alumnus, coach, and Senior Class Dean Kevin McDonald ’98.
In the yearbook, Mr. McDonald is praised for his dedication to his students. “You have been a mentor and a friend to us since the beginning of freshman year. Thank you for caring about us beyond our academics,” the seniors wrote. “You picked us up when we fell and encouraged us when we excelled. You have succeeded in shaping us into the young adults we hope to be in the future. Thank you for giving us four unforgettable high school years. Together, we have created a united and warm community at Morristown-Beard; something we wouldn’t have been able to do without your support.”
The All-School Meeting also celebrated the members of the Senior Class, who were seated on stage, wearing sweatshirts of the colleges and universities they will attend in the fall.
