On Thursday, October 15th, 6th Grade students in the Organizational Skills class taught by Jackie Forte and Brandon Jefferson visited the Center for Innovation & Design, where they made their own organizational wheels out of laser cut parts.
The “reminder fidget wheels’ feature five different sections where students can write important reminders for the day. With some help from Design Arts teacher Matt Martino, the students assembled the base and rotating wheel before attaching all of the components with a straw and paper fastener.
They then brainstormed topics that they could include on their organizational wheels and wrote them with a dry erase marker. Some of their reminders included: homework, taking care of pets, chores/tasks, and sports.
