Boys Ski Team Places 2nd in Final Regular Season Race

In their final regular season race of the season, the MBS boys ski team placed second out of seven teams led by junior Branden Hawks ’21, who finished first overall. The MBS girls team also had their strongest outing of the year, finishing fourth.

The MBS boys ski team narrowly missed first place by less than seven seconds. Five of the team’s racers finished in the top 18 including Branden Hawks ’21 (1st), Jackson Downey ’22 (9th), Peter Kearney ’21 (15th), Thomas Wohlbruck ’21 (17th), and Luke D’Andrea ’21 (18th). 

The MBS varsity boys have qualified for State Races once again, with the Giant Slalom race set for February 21st and the Slalom race set for February 23rd.

The MBS girls were led by Nikki D’Alessandro ’20, who was fourth overall to pace the team to its best finish of the season. Jessica Redington ’21 also had an impressive day, finishing 14th overall.

In junior varsity action, the MBS boys JV team finished first out of five teams. Ryan Recupero ’21 led the way with a seventh place finish.  He was followed closely by Ethan Hong ’21 (8th) and James Gordon ’21 (9th).
