Boys Ice Hockey Extends Win Streak to Nine Games

The red hot MBS boys ice hockey team extended its winning streak this week to nine games as the Crimson – currently ranked 8th in the state – topped Chatham, 5-2, at Mennen Arena on January 8th.

MBS (9-2) led 4-1 after two periods and scored two shorthanded goals in the win. Sophomore Nick Vantassell ’22 scored twice and the Crimson also got goals from Cam Fernandez ’21, Andrew Low ’22 and Tommy Matthews ’20. In the net, goalie Luke McManus ’21 stopped 18 shots.

The Crimson will skate against Pope John (3-8-1) on Monday, January 13th at 4:30 p.m. at Twin Oaks Ice Rink. Go Crimson!
