Congratulations to MBS student-athletes Nicole Borowiec ’19 and JayShon DuBose ’20, who both had strong races at the Meet of Champions on Saturday, June 8th at North Burlington High School.
Competing against the top athletes in the state of New Jersey, Borowiec finished her high school career with an impressive time of 15.14 in the 100-meter hurdles. She finished 26th overall.
DuBose also had a solid time of 15.03 in the 110-meter hurdles, good for 24th overall.
To qualify for the Meet of Champions, Borowiec captured the State Group Championship in the 100-meter hurdles (15.16) as well as the 100-meters (12.74). She also placed 5th in the 200 and qualified in the 400-meter hurdles, placing second. DuBose won a state championship in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 58.73. He also finished second in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.02 and was sixth in the 200-meters and the 400-meters.
