Congratulations to MBS student-athletes Anthony Bernardo ’21 and Sarah Karbachinskiy ’21, who received the Fall Sportsmanship Awards as part of the virtual Upper School Fall Athletic Celebration on Tuesday, November 17.
Bernardo (soccer) and Karbachinskiy (tennis) were praised by their coaches for their positive attitude, for their exemplary treatment of others, and for their graciousness in winning and losing.
“Sarah is a respected teammate and friend who has shown herself to be a caring and thoughtful individual,” said MBS girls tennis head coach Brett Michel. “The girls tennis team and the entire MBS community are very fortunate to have someone like Sarah representing our School.”
MBS boys soccer coach Andres Callejas praised Anthony Bernardo for being “kind, polite, and selfless.” “He is a fierce competitor but never allows his judgement to be clouded,” said Coach Callejas. “This award reflects his core values.”
