Baptiste '14 Shares Special Message for Boys Lacrosse Seniors

As part of a tribute to this year's senior athletes, Morristown-Beard School graduate and professional lacrosse player Trevor Baptiste '14 gave a special video shout-out to the Crimson lacrosse team!

“As a lacrosse team, you guys have traveled through a lot of adversity and (accomplished) a lot of feats starting with the 2019 Non-Public B State Championship,” he said. “Yes, I’m talking to a legit group right now, and I know you seniors had a lot to do with that win.”

Baptiste then spoke about each senior on the varsity lacrosse team, including Ryan Brown, Mike DeSimone, Kyle Gonyea, Mason Guida, Steve Kelly, Tommy Matthews, Thomas Sokolowski, and Evan Zakhary.

“Through these unprecedented times you guys stuck together and unfortunately you guys didn’t get the opportunity to defend that state championship or play again together, but you will always have the memory of winning a state championship together,” said Baptiste. “I’m really excited to see what you guys will do next when you leave MBS and this community and go on to do great things at all your respective colleges. And if you’re defending a state championship and there’s no season, technically you guys went back-to-back, so congratulations on that!”
