Alexis Benbassat P'23, '26 Receives Foley Award for Service

At today’s Parents Association General Meeting, Morristown Beard School recognized Alexis Benbassat P’23, ’26 as the recipient of this year’s Foley Award, honoring her outstanding dedication and leadership within the MBS community.

The award was presented by Interim Head of School Philicia Levinson P'19 and is given annually to a senior parent whose last child is graduating and who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment to the school.

Since joining the MBS community in 2020, Ms. Benbassat has been a highly engaged and influential presence in the Parents Association. Over the past four years, she has served in several key leadership roles, including one year as Co-President of the PA Executive Board and three years as Upper School Coordinator. In addition, she has led the faculty and staff appreciation committee, helping to strengthen connections between families and school employees.

Prior to her executive board service, Ms. Benbassat also contributed as an 8th grade class parent, continuing a steady pattern of involvement across divisions of the school.

Throughout her time at MBS, she has been recognized for her organization, positivity, and collaborative spirit. Colleagues and fellow volunteers note her ability to reimagine and streamline Parents Association efforts, improving how events and initiatives are planned and executed. Her work has helped make volunteer opportunities more accessible while also ensuring School celebrations are both meaningful and well attended.
