It’s been a record-setting week for the MBS winter track team as the Crimson competed at the Morris County Relay Championships at Drew University as well as the NJSIAA Relay Championships in Toms River.
Winter track athletes Tristen Miscia ’23, Spencer Anderson ’24, Aaron Morton ’22, and Charlie Sheppard ’22 set a School record at the Morris County Relay Championships with a time of 4:08.04 in the Sprint Medley Relay. The previous MBS record for the Sprint Medley Relay was set in 2018.
On Wednesday, January 12, the Girls High Jump Relay team of Sophie Tannen ’22 and Chloe Higgins ’24 set a new School record and earned a silver medal at the NJSIAA Relay Championships. The Boys 4x200 Relay team of Charlie Sheppard ’22, Zach Aycock ’22, Aaron Morton ’22, and Spencer Anderson ’24 also earned a spot on the podium, finishing in third place overall.
Other strong results at the state meet include fourth place finishes from the Boys Distance Medley team (Will Kuppenheimer ’23, Charlie Sheppard ’22, Zach Levine ’23, and Andre Chabra ’23) as well as the Boys 4x800 team (Zach Levine ’23, Zach Aycock ’22, Will Kuppenheimer ’23, and Andre Chabra ’23). The Boys Sprint Medley team (Will Kuppenheimer ’23, Charlie Sheppard ’22, Aaron Morton ’22, and Spencer Anderson ’24) finished fifth overall.
