9th Grade Humanities Classes Visit Princeton

On Thursday, April 18th, students in Mr. Holbrook’s and Mr. Teasdale’s 9th Grade Humanities classes visited Princeton for a tour of the campus and selected galleries of the Princeton Museum.

Chaperones included the Class Dean, Mrs. Johnson, and 10th Grade English teacher Mrs. Muttick.  The 39 students ambled around the grounds snapping photos for an English project that melds architecture and literature, enjoying the spring blossoms, and experiencing the ambiance of an Ivy League campus.

Highlights included a visit to the Cathedral, with reflections on the recent fire damage done to Notre Dame, and expertly-led museum tours by four qualified docents. The students often showed an impressive knowledge of Greek and Latin subjects, not to mention sensitivity to subject matter of the Renaissance.  The chaperones collectively were proud of how well-behaved and thoughtful the students were during the entire trip.
