This week, MBS 8th Graders engaged in a class-wide service project as they prepared 135 breakfast bags for nourish.NJ, a local food pantry.
In their advisories, the 8th Graders brought in an assortment of healthy items for the breakfast bags, including small boxes of cereal, shelf-stable milk, juice boxes, water, granola bars and fruit cups. At the end of the week, the students assembled the items into individual bags to help provide vital nutrition for local youngsters. Thank you to everyone who donated the food items so generously!
Based in Morristown, nourish.NJ provides nutritious meals in a warm, safe and caring environment, free of charge. The organization also assists its guest in accessing community resources, services, and educational programs.
Next week, the 8th Graders will continue their commitment to fighting food insecurity by volunteering at the Interfaith Food Pantry.
