8th Grade Students Enjoy "Book Tasting" in the Library

Nikki Liese’s 8^th Grade English students sampled an assortment of literary delights as part of a “book tasting” in Anderson Library on September 14.

Hosted by Head Librarian Erinn Salge, the tasting invited students to take a nibble of many different literary genres. Students rotated between four different tables, reading a few pages of each book at their place setting and taking notes along the way. Once they had their fill of a book, they sampled another. 

At the end of the tasting, students received their top selection as a “takeout” option.

“It's a great low-stakes way for them to sample our fiction collection as well as pick up some titles they might not usually read,” explained Mrs. Salge.
