10th Grade English Students Write Historical Fiction in the Library

After conducting scholarly research in Anderson Library last week, Sam Goodman’s 10th Grade English students have been busy writing original works of historical fiction.

Students selected their own topics, ranging from the Battle of Gettysburg to the September 11th attacks, Hurricane Sandy, and even the 1919 Black Sox baseball scandal. Some students are writing short stories while others are composing original poetry.

This week, students returned to the library to hone their creative works with some assistance from Mr. Goodman and Head Librarian Erinn Salge. Of course, there were also plenty of snacks and drinks to help the creative process!
