Dear MBS Community,

I am writing to update you on the results from our January 14 COVID-19 testing. There was 1 positive cases reported—a considerable reduction from the previous week. The family has been notified.

After consulting with the New Jersey Department of Health, we are pleased to announce that we will return to on-campus learning, athletics, and extracurricular activities on Tuesday, January 19.

When we are back on campus, we will remain vigilant in our efforts to stay safe by adhering to our protocols, Community Health Pledge, and weekly surveillance testing.

In keeping with this, we have updated our Community Health Pledge which can be found in the Magnus Health Portal. All of our students and parents should read it carefully and sign it prior to returning to in-person learning on January 19. We are asking all of you to reaffirm your commitment to supporting the health and safety of the MBS community.

Please note that our next community-wide testing date is Friday, January 22. Test kits will be distributed on Thursday, January 21.

If your child would like to learn remotely for the second semester, we ask that you contact your division head and sign and return the Voluntary Distance Learning form. If you have any health questions or concerns, please reach out to our nursing staff.

I look forward to seeing the students, faculty and staff back on campus on Tuesday, and I thank the community for their patience and flexibility for learning how to navigate this new normal and for following an entirely new set of policies and procedures as we work our way through these challenging times.

Sincerely,
