Athletic Facilities at MBS

Morristown-Beard School is committed to providing its student-athletes with the finest facilities in the area.

The William E. Simon Athletic Center is a state-of-the-art facility and the hub of athletics at Morristown-Beard School. Students make full use of three regulation-size basketball and volleyball courts, four playing fields, including a running track and three multi-sport turf fields.

Swimmers enjoy the Athletic Center’s Rooke Family Pool, a 25-meter indoor pool featuring six lanes.
In 2013, MBS installed nearly 125,000 square feet of FieldTurf on Fessenden Field, its baseball field and lower athletic field on campus. Between 2004 and 2006, MBS installed FieldTurf on Burke and Billings Fields, added a new rubberized track and created The Crimson Terrace for spectators. These new athletic fields are used by nearly every MBS sports team including football, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, boys’ and girls’ soccer, field hockey and softball.

The Morristown-Beard ice hockey teams compete at the nearby Mennen Arena and Twin Oaks Ice Rink. The Mennen Arena, a full-service ice center featuring three ice surfaces, is just two miles from campus. Twin Oaks Ice Rink, one of the area’s premier hockey facilities, is just one mile from campus.
