Bridget Monaghan
Head Coach, Girls Varsity Basketball

Bridget Monaghan ’19 returned to Morristown-Beard School in the spring of 2025 as Head Coach of the Girls Varsity Basketball Team and a member of the Advancement department as the Assistant Director of Annual Giving.

A proud alumna, former player, and current AAU coach, Bridget brings a dynamic energy, deep knowledge of the game, and a strong connection to the MBS community.

As a student-athlete at MBS, Bridget was a three-year captain who helped lead the program to new heights, culminating in the 2019 Morris County Tournament Championship. She was named Tournament MVP and Morris County Player of the Year, graduating as the School’s all-time leading scorer and continues to hold MBS records for career three-pointers made and steals.

Bridget continued her success at the University of Scranton, where she became a three-time WBCA All-American, two-time Landmark Conference Player of the Year, and 3-year team captain. She led Scranton to an 86-9 record over four seasons and set multiple program records—including leading the nation in three-point percentage during the 2021–22 season. Bridget’s jersey was honored in the Ring of Honor at the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in Knoxville, Tennessee. She earned Landmark Conference Academic Honors and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration. She capped her collegiate career at Saint Joseph’s University, earning a full scholarship for the 2023–24 season in which the Hawks had a historic 28-6 record. During that time, she completed her MBA (Master of Business Administration) with a certificate in Leadership.

Bridget has spent the past six years coaching with the New Jersey Magic Basketball program. She has coached and mentored these athletes from youth through high school, helping develop multiple 1,000-point high school scorers as well as numerous athletes who have gone on to play at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels.

A passionate leader and dedicated mentor, Bridget brings experience and heart to the Crimson coaching staff. She is grateful to be back “home” and have the opportunity to inspire the next generation of student-athletes.
