Marquis Webb
Head Coach: Boys Basketball
Basketball - Varsity Boys

Marquis Webb joined the MBS community in 2023 from Paterson Eastside, where his coaching journey was marked by being a two-time Big North Coach of the Year and receiving the prestigious 2023 New Jersey High School Basketball Coach of the Year award. His time at Eastside High School was incredibly rewarding, leading the team to clinch several championships, including the Passaic County Championship, Sectional State Championship, and Group 4 State Championship. He began shaping the team's culture back in June 2019, emphasizing positivity for his student-athletes.

His experience also includes seven years of coaching Division 1 basketball at Wagner College and George Mason University and serving as assistant director of team events for the Hoop Group.  He is a proud alumnus of Rutgers University, where he spent four years as a starter on the varsity basketball team. During his college years, he was team captain, made two appearances in the National Invitational Tournament, joined the 1000 point club, and secured the seventh all-time scoring leader position. His basketball journey also took him to the international stage, playing professionally for Hungary, New Zealand and also in the NBA D League with the Anaheim Arsenal.

He is genuinely excited about the guidance he will provide to MBS student-athletes. "My philosophy of 'win from within' resonates well with MBS, emphasizing success both on and off the court. I look forward to revitalizing our basketball program and ensuring that each student-athlete thrives in their best-suited positions," he said. On a personal note, Marquis is married and blessed with two wonderful boys: Marquis Webb Jr. and Scholar Webb.
