Eugene Sharp is the head coach of the Morristown Beard School varsity swimming program.

He has a long history of participating in age-group competitive and Masters level swimming in the NYC area. A collegiate D1 swimmer and water polo athlete, Gene graduated from Columbia University with a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. 

He is currently a member of the GSCY Masters swim program where he also coaches part-time. In 2020 Gene was nationally ranked in the Butterfly event by US Masters Swimming.

Gene has had a successful career in the corporate business world, including managing national and international sales organizations at notable software companies.  In his role as MBS swim coach he hopes to leverage his coaching and business leadership talents in helping swimmers get the most out of their potential, both in and out of the pool. 

Gene has three daughters and currently resides in Bernardsville, NJ with his wife Lynn. When not in the pool or on the deck coaching he enjoys traveling, reading and spending time at the Jersey Shore with family.
