Mark Griff has been appointed our new Head Girls Golf Coach at Morristown Beard School.
Coach Griff has an extensive background in the game of golf as he has been a Golf Course Superintendent for over 25 years and currently is the Superintendent at Packanack Golf Club. Coach Griff has been involved in many golf clinics with his father over the years in teaching young adults the game of golf and its etiquette.
Coach Griff was a member of the varsity boys golf team at Morris Knolls high school where he also played soccer and basketball. He was a varsity member all four years and placed third in the Morris County tournament in his junior year. Coach Griff was also a member of the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) and participated in many tournaments all over the country during his high school years.
Coach Griff played college golf at Wilkes University before transferring to Rutgers University, where he had a passion for golf courses and horticulture and earned his bachelor's degree in Plant Science at Rutgers University.
Coach Griff has a passion for coaching sports as he comes from a family of high school coaches and athletic directors. He pursued another bachelor's degree in Biology from Thomas Edison University and received his teaching certificate. Coach Griff has been a head coach for over fifteen years in baseball, soccer, basketball, softball, and golf and is currently the varsity boys assistant soccer coach at Hanover Park High School and the JV head basketball coach at Morris Catholic High School.
Coach Griff has one son Mark and one daughter Savannah, who both attend Morris Knolls High School.
