Robert Rafferty was named the head coach of girls lacrosse at Morristown-Beard School in January 2021. He has over 12 years of high school girls lacrosse coaching experience in his 18-plus years involved in high school athletics.  Robert has coached at various levels of high school and been part of conference, county and state championship level teams.   

Most recently Robert spent the last two years as the assistant girls lacrosse coach at Mount St. Mary’s Academy in Watchung, NJ.  Prior to his time at Mount Saint Mary’s Academy, he was the head girls lacrosse coach at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School for 8 years. He was intrical in the development, competitiveness and success of a brand new varsity program at Scotch Plains-Fanwood.  Early on at Scotch Plains-Fanwood many of his players earned All-League and All-Conference honors.  

Robert is a graduate of Keene State College with a bachelor’s degree in Health Fitness/Exercise Science.  He also has a Master's of Science in PE from Hofstra University and a Master's of Education in Educational Administration from Scranton University.  

Robert is in his 18th year as a health and PE teacher at Scotch Plains-Fanwood HS.  Robert and his wife Kim of 18 years have three boys, Braeden, Colin and Declan.
