Coach Sal Tromonda is the Head Coach of Boys Lacrosse at Morristown-Beard School.

His head coaching career at Morristown-Beard began in 2013. In his first year the team went 11-7 and Coach Tromonda was named the Waterman Division Coach of the Year. During the 2014 season the team finished with a record of 19 wins and 3 losses and Coach Tromonda received the Muggs Media Head Lacrosse Coach of the Year as well as the Daily Record Spring Coach of the Year. In 2019 the Boys Lacrosse team won the Non-Public B State Championship. Coach Tromonda was named the 2019 New Jersey Non-Public Coach of the Year.
Coach Tromonda has been very fortunate to have a number of boys who have been named All-State and All-American athletes. Many players who have played for him moved on and played and excelled at the collegiate and professional level. Players from Morristown-Beard have played and made an impact on the the following college teams: Denver, Notre Dame, Richmond, North Carolina, Colgate, St. John’s, Marist and Wagner.
Before joining MBS, Coach Tromonda was the Assistant Varsity Coach at Madison High School working as the Defense Coordinator for 11 years. He received two Assistant Coach of the Year awards for the division during those 11 years there.

Coach Tromonda also serves as Director of Player Development for Morristown-Beard School overseeing athletes workouts in the weight room and on the playing fields.
In the off-season, Coach Tromonda works with individuals and club teams helping them improve their game. When he is not on the field with his boys or training in the weight room, Sal is spending time with his three children and his wife at home.
