Dr. Miklos Jalics finds his passion in motivating students to be the best that they can be. He is always looking for more challenging math problems that help students make connections that will ultimately lead to a mastery understanding of the discipline. Dr. Jalics joined the MBS Upper School Math Faculty in 2015 after teaching for 15 years in Budapest, Hungary at the American International School of Budapest. He was also the Head of the Math Department and coached the varsity soccer team as well as coached swimming in Budapest.

Being a fluent Hungarian speaker, Dr. Jalics was active in the local community and sponsored service projects with a local orphanage. Dr. Ja´lics earned his undergraduate education at the University of Akron in Applied Mathematics with a computer science minor, where he was a member of the 1986 NCAA National Runner ups in soccer.

After receiving his degree, Dr. Jalics spent a year in Hungary finding his roots. From there Dr. Jalics went on to receive a PhD in Mathematics at The Ohio State University. His research focused on using scientific computing to analyze an industrial process of growing crystals used in making semiconductors.
