Steven Monteleone joined Morristown-Beard in 2015 and co-coached the inaugural Winter Track team. Since then, he has served as Head Coach for Cross Country, Assistant Coach in Winter Track, and Assistant Coach in Spring Track. He has helped many runners achieve their personal bests and has helped lead several runners to the Meet of Champs/State Meet.
Monteleone is a serious and accomplished runner. He has experience coaching several seasons of cross country and track with the Madison youth running programs, guiding students aged 7-14 years old to achieve their personal records.
His love of the sport began during his own student-athlete years at Governor Livingston High School and it continued through his college years at Drew University. At his high school, as MVP and captain, he was a 2-time all-conference member, and member of several relay teams that established new school records. At Drew University, he was a 2-time all-conference member, current conference record holder in the 5k, and 3 time MVP.
He has completed four half marathons with a personal record of 1:14, and two full marathons, with a personal record of 2:37, which was set at the 2015 Boston Marathon.
He is a 2012 graduate of Drew University with a bachelor of arts in Psychology and currently resides in Morristown, N.J.
