Our next trip will examine the concept of multiculturalism both historically and in current-day. Spain’s Andalusian region is famous for the concept of “convivencia”. “Living together.” The multicultural blend is everywhere - in the architecture of churches, synagogues and mosques, the rhythm of the flamenco dance, and the roots of common Spanish phrases. In Andalucia, multiculturalism is alive in a tangible way with its visible mix of Christian, Jewish, and Islamic influence. Listen to Ms. Romero as she tells you about the opportunity to dance flamenco, learn how to cook with the Gypsies and so much more.
We will spend 7 days visiting Seville and Granada, where you will not only get to see impressive fortresses, ancient monuments, and bustling markets, but you will also have the opportunity to experience Spanish culture firsthand.
Prepare yourself for a foot-stomping experience where you will learn how to dance Flamenco. Picture yourself cooking traditional Spanish dishes, and going on a tapas tour every night. But most importantly, get ready to get out of your comfort zone and learn something new.
