Head of School Liz Morrison
We are deeply invested in pushing students to reach their potential within a life of balance and authentic learning.

Dear MBS Community,

It is such a great pleasure to welcome you to Morristown Beard School (MBS). Joyful, self-directed learning in an environment that simultaneously challenges, encourages, inspires, and nurtures students is what I have found to be the essence of our academic program. Students are guided to reach their potential in the context of a balanced life and authentic learning where moral and ethical development and academic rigor are equally important.

On our website, you can learn more about our outstanding academic program, and the way we integrate innovation into the curriculum through the study of applied science, technical arts, and through the opportunities students have to explore their physical and emotional selves through the visual and performing arts and athletics.

Less visible are the relationships that are an essential component of the MBS experience. Students build lifelong friendships with their peers and with the faculty and staff. These relationships help students to realize their potential.

At MBS we believe that an excellent educational experience must develop the head, heart, and the body, and this is achieved in our classrooms, in advisory groups, in the Center for Innovation and Design, in the theater, and on the athletic fields.

I hope you will come to our beautiful campus and experience first hand the possibilities that exist, and see our students and faculty engaged in discovery and learning.

Best Wishes,

Liz Morrison
Head of School
