Sara Alders joined the MBS faculty in 2011 after completing her Master of Education degree in Middle School Humanities at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She earned her undergraduate degree from Lehigh University in American studies and political science. Sara truly enjoys bringing a social studies approach to her curriculum.

In addition to the history classes that she teaches, Sara serves as an advisor and coach in the Middle School. She is engaged with the School’s student life initiatives and sits on the Social Justice and Social Emotional Learning Committees. Sara also heads the Middle School Girls Leadership Outreach and Worth (GLOW) Club and serves as the Girls Leadership Program Coordinator. In this role, she uses the most current research on gender-based issues to organize gender equity initiatives at MBS.
