Dr. David Molowa joined the Morristown-Beard School Science Department in 2007.
During his time at MBS, David has taught all levels of Upper School Biology and Chemistry. In addition, he has overseen Independent Study courses on wide-ranging topics, such as Neuroscience, Pharmacology, and Investment Management. David also developed a new class on medical innovation for interested students.
David has also served MBS in a variety of administrative and coaching roles, including Grade Dean (from 2010-2018), Head Coach for the boys’ varsity golf team (from 2008-2012), and Assistant Coach for the boys’ varsity swim team (from 2016-2018).
He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Richmond, a Doctorate from The Medical College of Virginia, and a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University. Prior to teaching, David spent over 15 years at JPMorgan and UBS as a Managing Director engaged in investing in Biotechnology companies. He preceded that experience by working as a Research Biochemist at Merck. David has authored more than 15 peer-reviewed papers in leading scientific journals.
A strong advocate of civic engagement, David currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Westfield Public Library. He was recently appointed to the Board of Trustees of University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.
