B.A., Wesleyan University
Rob Mead has been a member of the MBS Faculty since 1994. Presently, he teaches science in the Middle School.
After a childhood spent growing up on a farm – and later, on the campus of Salisbury School in Connecticut – Rob attended Wesleyan University where he earned a B.A. and a M.A.L.S. He began his professional career as a banker, working in Germany and New York City. Following that endeavor, Rob worked in publishing in Japan and New York.
Eventually, Rob – whose parents are both former teachers – felt the lure of working in education. Since joining MBS in 1994, he has taught English, reading, humanities, math, social studies, study skills, and science. He also found the time to return to school himself, and earned a D.Litt. from Drew University in 2006 with his dissertation focusing on Italian military history.
In his free time, Rob and his wife enjoy visiting their grown children, who live in Colorado, New York, and Hawaii. A world traveller, Rob has visited or lived in 85 different countries.
