Kevin McDonald '98 rejoined the MBS community in 2005 when he became a member of the Wellness Department faculty. Presently, he serves as Director of Co-Curricular Activities and as Dean of the Class of 2027 in addition to continuing to teach in the Wellness Department.

After graduating from the University of Maryland in 2002 with a B.A. in Communications, Kevin was drafted as a catcher by the Detroit Tigers, a Major League Baseball team, and played several years in their minor league system. Thanks to his time in professional baseball, and many other athletic experiences, he has coached multiple sports at MBS. Kevin has served as an assistant coach for the baseball and football teams, and currently coaches the junior varsity boys basketball team. He also serves as Head Coach of the MBS Softball team.

Kevin’s roles at MBS enable him to help many members of the community. He loves having conversations with students, parents, and fellow faculty members about their goals – and how to achieve them. He also always enjoys connecting with his students as a teacher in the Wellness Department.

As the Director of Co-Curricular Activities, Kevin works diligently to build an engaging program designed to make every student in the school feel that they are part of Morristown Beard. Finally, in serving as a Grade Dean, Kevin is part of something truly special – the growth of an entire class over a four-year period.
