Tracy Freitag
Middle School Learning Specialist

Tracy, originally from the Syracuse area, discovered her passion for education while playing volleyball and studying General and Special Education at Seton Hall University. After graduating, she began her teaching career in the Millburn Township Public Schools, where she spent over 30 years teaching a variety of subjects from elementary through high school. Most of her tenure was devoted to serving as a Strategies Intervention teacher in the middle school—her favorite age group to teach!

Now a Learning Specialist in the Center for Teaching and Learning at MBS, Tracy loves helping Middle School students grow in confidence and independence as learners. She enjoys getting to know each student’s unique strengths and helping them build strong study habits while discovering strategies that make learning both effective and enjoyable. Tracy also holds a master’s degree in Educational Technology and loves integrating digital tools to make learning engaging and relevant.

Outside of school, Tracy lives in Somerset County with her husband, two sons, two dogs, and two cats. She loves to read, sing, and listen to podcasts. During the summer she enjoys spending time on Lake Ontario and traveling with her extended family in their RV to explore new destinations.
