Alex Wise is a New Jersey-based composer, arranger, songwriter, conductor, and producer. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree, magna cum laude, from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, and a Master’s in Music for TV and Film (with Distinction) from Bristol University, UK. He has been teaching since 2005 and has worked for private institutions such as The Ensworth School in Nashville, TN, The Santa Rosa Jr. College in California, Tuxedo Park School in New York, and Pioneer Academy in Wayne. At these various institutions Alex served as music teacher, conductor, director, lessons coordinator, music director, co-chair, and music department chair. Alex is delighted to be the choral director this year for MBS. He is also actively involved in the Center for Innovation and Design and loves to help students with their recording projects and musical goals.

Alex has also worked and performed with several major musical artists including John Williams, Ben Folds, Wayne Newton, Dierks Bently, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Annie Haslem, Marty Kupersmith, Carol Demas, and many others. He owns his own production studio (WiseA Productions) and has produced over thirty albums, and his Broadway credits include: Waitress, Beetlejuice, and Wicked. Alex is a multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, organ, accordion, mandolin, violin, viola, cello, ukulele, guitar, bass, drums, clarinet and saxophone.
