An award-winning veteran public school teacher, Deb joins MBS after teaching at a variety of schools in New Jersey.  Deb holds a BS in Business with a Marketing Major from Seton Hall and an MA in Teaching, Concentration: Math, from Montclair State University.

In the classroom, Deb loves seeing the progress students make between the beginning of the year (or years) to the end of the year. Helping students create a robust reasoning process while developing strong mathematical skills is her key goal. Recognizing that each student is unique and learns differently, Deb helps students observe their process from their own perspective, encouraging them to become tenacious learners and to apply that tenacity to everything in their own lives outside of the math classroom. Deb is grateful for the community of collegial learners who surround her at MBS.

Outside the classroom, Deb is a keen DIYer at home renovation, she has rescued 3 dogs, and she loves to sing. Deb also loves to travel; she’s hoping to travel more in the near future.
