Mathilde holds both a BA and an MA in English from Grenoble-Alpes University in France. She also holds an MSEd in Curriculum & Instruction - Language and Literacy Education from Purdue University. While at Purdue, Mathilde taught French and worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant in the College of Education.  Prior to moving to the USA, Mathilde worked for a non-profit organization in Paris, fundraising for their education program.

In the classroom, Mathilde loves to discover what motivates her students and what activities they enjoy. In particular, she enjoys offering opportunities for her students to compare their own lives and cultures to the lives and cultures of people in French-speaking communities.

Outside of the classroom, Mathilde loves yoga; she is thinking about becoming certified! She also confesses that although she grew up in the middle of the Alps, her skiing is terrible!
