Katie holds a BS in Education and Human Development as well as an MS with a focus in Mathematics and Science from Lesley University in Massachusetts. Before joining MBS, Katie worked at a variety of middle schools in New Jersey; she also taught for seven years at Quality Schools International in Albania.

Katie loves to observe her students when they make connections in their understanding, remarking that doing so is like watching the students unlock the key to their brain. Katie also enjoys watching Middle School students figure out who they are becoming as they prepare for Upper School and beyond.

When she gets time to herself, Katie likes watching or listening to a good soccer, football, baseball game or podcast. She also loves to learn new things, which makes her a decent pub trivia player!
