Dr. Kim Pottratz joined Morristown-Beard School in 2017 after working for 14 years in the public school setting.
Before she began her professional career, Kim earned an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Vassar College in 2000, followed by a Master’s degree from Kean University. In 2007, Kim earned a Doctor of Psychology degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
In both New Jersey and Massachusetts, Kim has worked as a school psychologist with students spanning the ages of 3 to 21. Her professional research interests include evidence-based practices that help students overcome social and emotional challenges that negatively impact scholastic success. Recently, Kim provided professional development to NJAIS-affiliated independent schools on math anxiety.
Outside of MBS, Kim is actively involved in local food security and working with Morris County food banks. She is also affiliated with Picatinny Arsenal and enjoys studying the psychological and sociological factors associated with American history.
