Message from the Head of Middle School
Greetings from the Middle School! The students and teachers are back into the swing of things after enjoying a two-week spring break.
Our 8th graders delighted in an extended vacation, as they travelled to Washington, D.C. days before break began. I hope that you enjoy reading about their adventures in our nation’s capital. Over break, Amogh Anakru put his energy into final preparations for the semi final and final rounds of the New Jersey Spelling Bee. Mrs. Darby, his MBS coach, accompanied Amogh to Bergan Community College where Amogh proved to be a fierce competitor and MBS ambassador.
April promises to be a busy month in the Middle School, as we look toward a number of exciting events.
* 7th grade trip to A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Drew University – April 13th
* 7th & 8th grade French Trip information session- April 19th, 8:15 in Commons
* Parent/Advisor conferences- April 23rd and 24th- 8:00-10:00am
* Grandparent’s Day- April 27th - Half day
Of course, I look forward to seeing many of you on campus this month during conferences and at the many home sporting events.
Today marks the beginning of our final quarter of the year. You should be able to access third quarter grades next week. Just a friendly reminder-please bring a copy of your child’s comments with your to your parent/advisor conference as a way to help make the meeting productive and meaningful.
