App of the Week: ComicBook
The comic book is such a classic medium of entertainment. It has all the pictures of a movie with all the plot of a book. However, what really makes it unique is that halftone feel that each strip has. Imagine what that effect would look like on everyday life. Now go a step further and just try to imagine your day as a comic book strip.
Imagine no more, for there is an app for that! This application is aptly named ComicBook. With this application you are able to import pictures from your iPhoto library, apply a halftone (cartoon-pixilated) effect, and place it within a comic strip template. From there you can add speech bubbles, sound bubbles, and other types of bubbles! Once you're done creating the perfect plot, coupled with a great climax, you can simply export the page to your iPhoto and create an album just for that comic.
