Our Extended Family
At Morristown-Beard School, our alumni, parents and grandparents play an important part in the life of the School. There are many ways that these members of our MBS family take an active role in fostering the School’s mission and ensuring the best possible educational environment for our students.
Whether they are graduates of The Beard School, The Morristown School, or Morristown-Beard School, our alumni feel a strong connection to MBS and we strive to help them stay involved and connected through various opportunities and events. Graduates return to campus regularly to celebrate Homecoming and Alumni Weekend and to honor their classmates at the Distinguished Alumni and Athletic Hall of Fame dinners. The Morristown-Beard Alumni Association also organizes regional events throughout the year.
Parents are a vital and vigorous part of our community, and they are warmly welcomed. We make it easy to get involved by offering a variety of activities, events and volunteer opportunities. And, we make it easy to get to know other parents. Current parents reconnect with each other and meet new parents during grade level gatherings held each fall. Special orientations are held at the school for new students and parents. All parents are invited to Back-to-School Night. Throughout the year, the Parents’ Association plans special events including the Fall Fashion Show, the Spring Gala and Crimson Night.
Grandparents are invited to spend time at the school, too. Each spring, MBS celebrates Grandparents’ Day and invites all grandparents and special friends to attend classes with their grandchildren and have an opportunity to experience our college-preparatory education first-hand. We also invite grandparents to enjoy the many sporting events, concerts and special events on campus throughout the year.
