Serving both the Upper School and the Middle School, The Anderson Library is located next to Beard Hall. It houses almost 18,000 volumes, audiobooks, daily newspapers, and subscriptions, over 13,000 e-books, 42 popular and professional periodicals, and more than 40 academic databases.
The 26 networked computers provide both Internet and intranet access with links to numerous electronic information sources in databases
and the library catalog
. We also have a page of free online resources
such as e-books and e-articles, styles guides, and local library links.
Students and faculty can currently access a second E-Book trial
with over 5,000 books from EBSCO through This Link
from their laptops or desktop computers. If purchased, the package will also be available through mobile devices.
Two full-time librarians staff the Library, which provides full services from 7:30 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. and is open as a study center from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday.
The success of the Library Program at Morristown-Beard School rests upon the outreach of the Library Staff and its support of the school community. The librarians strive to provide a quiet, orderly atmosphere conducive to individual study, while also offering support and assistance for individual and group research. The staff is committed to providing students and faculty with an extensive information center for study, research and relaxation.
