Any application completed after February 4, 2013 will be considered on a rolling basis. If you have any questions about the availability of a space, please contact the Admission Office.
It is in the best interest of the applicant to complete his/her application as early as possible.
Applicants are considered without regard to race, religion, national or ethnic origin, financial means, gender or sexual orientation.
Application Checklist
1.ADMISSION APPLICATION: Complete the Family Information form (FORM A), Parent Questionnaire (FORM B), and
Student Questionnaire (FORM C), and return them to the Admission Office with the $60 nonrefundable application fee. An optional photograph of the applicant may be included
with the application.
2.INTERVIEW AND VISIT: Upon completion of FORM A, FORM B, and FORM C,
please call the Admission Office at 973.539.3032 to arrange an interview and a visiting day . Please Note: students will be required to complete a writing
sample as part of their campus interview.
3.TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM AND HEAD OF SCHOOL, PRINCIPAL, OR GUIDANCE
COUNSELOR RECOMMENDATION: Complete the top of the Transcript Release Form and Head of School, Principal, or Guidance Counselor Recommendation
(FORM D) and su bmit it to the appropriate person at the applicant’s school. An updated transcript should be forwarded to the Admission Office with the Counselor’s Recommendation.
4.ENTRANCE EXAM: Morristown-Beard accepts the following Entrance Examinations: the
Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) or the Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT). If the applicant has already taken one of these tests, please have
the testing organization forward results to the School. Please find ISEE registration materials enclosed. Morristown-Beard’s School code is 310845. We
will be administering the ISEE at Morristown-Beard School on the following dates:
- Fall:

- November 17, 2012
- Winter:
- December 1, 2012
- January 12, 2013
- January 26, 2013
- Spring:
- February 9, 2013

5.RECOMMENDATIONS: Distribute the recommendation forms, along with a stamped envelope addressed to Morristown-Beard School, to your current
Mathematics teacher (FORM E) and current English teacher (FORM F). You may submit an optional recommendation from someone who knows you in another
capacity such as a coach, music instructor, volunteer leader, tutor, form teacher, etc. (FORM G). These forms should be sent directly to
Morristown-Beard by the person making the recommendation.
