A Morristown Beard School education serves to inform the college preparation process from the moment a student enrolls.

Morristown Beard’s rigorous academic program, coupled with a vast assortment of extracurricular offerings, gives students the opportunity to explore and develop their unique interests and talents, in and outside of the classroom. Their experiences help to define their future goals and aspirations, and it is this process of self-discovery that helps to frame their college search, allowing them to find the best “fit.”

Our dynamic college counseling team is involved in the larger life of the school, which allows counselors to engage with students in a variety of ways beyond the college process as early as freshman year.  Starting junior year, students are assigned a dedicated college counselor who will work closely with them throughout the process, from researching schools through campus visits and interviews, and finalizing applications. Counselors also offer support for student-athletes and artists who may be going through the recruitment, portfolio development, and audition processes.

In addition, the College Counseling Office hosts several programs and workshops designed to demystify the college process for families at all grade levels.
